Boho DIY Wedding

When I met Sarah and Eric, I knew I had to do their wedding.  Held in the Pilates Toolbox Studio, their wedding was everything I had imagined doing--a boho girls dream.  Sarah DIY'ed a lot of the decor items, which made the wedding all the more special.  She hand tie dyed all of the table runners and draping for the wedding into different patterns of indigo tie dye, she handmade the soaps that were eventually the favors, and she also hand made some of the containers that our flowers when into--crafty girl!  What I loved about Sarah and Eric's wedding was that it was different than any of the other weddings I had done that season.  Many brides really like the muted tones of blush, peach, and white.  Although those colors are timeless and beautiful, I loved that I got to go more outside the box for this wedding.  The wedding was beautifully photographed by Victoria Ruan Photography.

Enjoy!

Beautiful Sequoia Wedding on a snowy February day.

Torie and Scott were great to work with.  Torie was one of those girls that we clicked with from the very beginning.  They got married on a beautiful snowy February day at the beautiful Sequoia Restaurant on the riverfront in Georgetown.  Torie wanted hints of blue to match the decor of the restaurant, but she also wanted hints of blush, silver and gold.  Such a gorgeous color palette in my opinion.  Because it was snowing mad hard that day, the band didn't actually make it to the ceremony or reception--so Torie and Scott rolled with the punches in a great way.  After their big day, they headed to Iceland for their honeymoon.  Such a rad couple!

Gorgeous DAR Wedding

This past April, I had the beautiful opportunity of doing the flowers for a wonderful couple who got married at the chapel at Georgetown University (where they met) and had their reception at the DAR right next to the White House.  The photos were captured by the Incomparable Virgil Bunao, and I would say that the day was just perfect with all the cherry blossom details that were portrayed.

Congrats Mark + Liddy!

Liddy had a gorgeous Monique Lhuliier Gown!

Liddy and Mark's wedding was on the peak day of Cherry Blossom Season here in D.C.  Needless to say, we incorporated a lot of that in her flowers.

With the lower arrangements, we incorporated more green and peach aspects surrounded by beautiful candlelight.

My favorite season, Spring, is here and I could not be more ecstatic! Wedding season is already off to a great start and all the beautiful blooms are coming.  Easter is in 2 days, (best holiday candy ever), and below you will find some fun easter inspired arrangements.  Some are completely literal with the eggs and the carrots, and others are a little more subtle.  So go to the grocery store, grab some flowers, and get arranging!
